The Mousetrap
70th Anniversary Tour
A few months after the close of "Private Lives", I was back on the road with Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap".
This is currently the West End's longest running play, and has performed continuously (bar Covid) in London's West End for 70 years. To mark this huge anniversary a new touring production was sent out.
Featuring Todd Carty, Gwyneth Strong and John Altman, the remaining characters were portrayed by Laurence Pears, Joelle Dyson, Elliot Clay, Kieron Brown, Essie Barrow and Joseph Reed.
As with "Private Lives" I was hired to cover, on this occasion 4 characters: Major Metcalf, Giles, Mr Paravicini and Sgt Trotter.
Amazingly I managed to get on 50 times, which is my highest record as a cover (only 6 performances for "Private Lives) with 1 going to Giles and 49 to the Major!
Once my tour had completed, I briefly returned for a week with the new cast, then just before opening with "Private Lives" at The Ambassador's Theatre, spent a week portraying Major Metcalf next door at the historic St Martin's Theatre, Soho.
I absolutely loved my journey with "The Mousetrap" and am so grateful for opportunities and friends it gave me.
During the tour I made a few videos which you can watch below.

Gaiety Theatre, Dublin
After our successful opening week at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham, we've popped across to Ireland for a 2 week run at the Gaiety Theatre. Here's a short video I made for The Biking Actor You Tube channel.
