2021-23
Theatre Royal, Bath
Initially announced back in mid 2020, the UK Touring Production of Noël Coward's "Private Lives" finally gets its premiere at the Theatre Royal in Bath.
Here's a little video I made on our opening matinee performance.
The Richmond Theatre
After a successful 2 week run at Bath's Theatre Royal, our UK touring production truly gets underway with a visit to the beautiful Richmond Theatre in London.
Chichester Festival Theatre
Our tour continues with a visit to the beautiful 1,206 seat Festival Theatre at Chichester. The penultimate stop before our Christmas break.
Cambridge Arts Theatre
Celebrating the end of our first block of performances of Noël Coward's "Private Lives" we visit the Cambridge Arts Theatre.
After a much needed Christmas break, we'll return for the remainder of our UK Tour.
Hall for Cornwall
Back from the Christmas break, and a little later than expected I return to the UK touring production of "Private Lives" as we visit the beautiful city of Truro in Cornwall.
Everyman Theatre
This week we're at the beautiful Grade II listed Everyman Theatre in the heart of Cheltenham.
Princess Theatre
Set in the beautiful Devonshire seaside town of Torquay, the Princess Theatre opened in 1961, with Tommy Cooper and Morecombe & Wise headlining the bill. Now it's our turn!
Lyric Theatre/The Lowry
Set within the stunning Media City UK at Salford Quay and a stones throw away from Old Trafford, The Lowry was opened in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II in 2000 and boasts the largest stage in the UK, outside of London's West End.
Lyceum Theatre
After 23 years I've returned to the Lyceum Theatre with The Nigel Havers Theatre Company's production of Noël Coward's "Private Lives" starring Patricia Hodge and Nigel Havers.
Oxford Playhouse
As we continue our UK Tour of Noël Coward's "Private Lives" starring Patricia Hodge and Nigel Havers, we visit The Playhouse in Oxford.
Lighthouse Arts Centre
The Lighthouse is an arts centre in Poole, Dorset. According to Arts Council England it is the largest arts centre in the UK outside of London. We're here from 15-19th March 2022.
Yvonne Arnaud
As we approach the last few venues on our UK Tour with the Nigel Havers Theatre Company's production of Noël Coward's "Private Lives", we visit the city of Guildford and the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.

With only 3 weeks remaining, we visit the Theatre Royal in the beautiful city of Norwich. "Private Lives", starring Nigel Havers, Patricia Hodge, Natalie Walter and Dugald Bruce-Lockhart. Next stop Malvern.

The penultimate stop on our UK Touring Production of Noël Coward's "Private Lives", as we visit Brighton's Theatre Royal. The final stop for the Nigel Havers Theatre Company's inaugural show will be Nottingham.
Theatre Royal, Nottingham
Our tour comes to an end at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham. It's been an absolute thrill to travel the UK with the Nigel Havers Theatre Company's inaugural production of Noël Coward's "Private Lives". Until we meet again...
Private Lives
After COVID and lockdown, returning to the theatres to perform seemed increasingly distant; so when the opportunity arose to cover the roles of Elyot and Victor in an upcoming production of Noël Coward's "Private Lives", I jumped at the chance.
After an audition with Director Chris Luscombe and Casting Director Sarah Bird, I was absolutely thrilled to be a part of this exciting new production; which not only toured the UK in 2020-21, but in 2023 also had a limited run at The Ambassador's Theatre in London.
Featuring both Nigel Havers and Patricia Hodge in the principle roles of Elyot and Amanda, Dugald Bruce-Lockhart and Natalie Walter portrayed Victor and Sybil. Covers were the wonderful Nick Barclay, Jane Quinn, Linda Slade and yours truly. In London we were joined by Hilary Tones
Our touring production opened at the Theatre Royal in Bath before embarking on a UK tour visiting Richmond, Chichester, Cambridge, Salford Quays, Torquay and many others.
During the tour I documented each venue, which you can watch in the videos below. I hope you enjoy them.
After an uneventful tour, I finally got the chance to perform as Victor, 6 times at The Ambassador's Theatre in Soho, steps away from where I had just performed as Major Metcalf in Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap".
